This site has been built to display various forms of artistry, showcase interesting individuals, demonstrate the strength of community, and hopefully leave a positive impression upon its viewers. A little about me: My name is Brian Meier, I have been tattooing and actively pursuing artwork since 2010. I currently reside in the fine state of Washington, though I enjoy traveling. I'm loyal to my family, true to my friends, and will continue to strive for improvement within the arts. Appointments are made strictly in PERSON at the shop or convention with a cash deposit. I encourage you to bring any and all printed reference material regarding the piece you're interested in getting so that we are on the same page creatively. After the consultation process is through, you will receive a time and date for our appointment. Please note that all deposits are NON REFUNDABLE but do come off of the top of the overall cost of the tattoo. I do require a 30 minute notice for any cancellation or reschedule. Otherwise, the deposit becomes FORFEIT.How should I care for my tattoo?
Your new tattoo will be temporarily bandaged for 3 to 5 hours. While your tattoo is bandaged DO NOT engage in rough physical activities that will lessen or remove it. These activities include but are not limited to:
After the initial 3 to 5 hours of wearing your bandage has passed, it is time for you to remove it (NOTE: You will NOT re bandage your tattoo at ANY time henceforth). To remove the bandage you simply:
Now that the bandage has been removed you will begin the aftercare process. This process is simple and will REQUIRE you to have:
With clean hands and warm water, lather up and wash your tattoo using the unscented antibacterial soap. While washing be sure to apply a little pressure and use small circular motions. The goal here is to remove ALL of the plasma build up from your body and any excess ointment left on the skin. When finished, rinse all of the soap off of the area.
Using a clean towel, begin to pat the area dry; DO NOT WIPE IT DRY. Once the the skin is no longer visibly damp you have finished, this takes moments not hours.
Grab the Aquaphor and spread a THIN layer of it over the tattooed area. REMEMBER a little goes a long way so use your fingertip to measure the amount applied. You are hydrating your tattoo NOT drowning it so DO NOT leave a thick shiny mess on your skin. Once the ointment has been spread thin and even across the tattooed area, move on to the final step.
Finally you will take a new paper towel and DAB the excess ointment off of the tattooed area, DO NOT WIPE. While dabbing the tattooed area use firm and even pressure across the skin. When finished your tattoo will have a SLIGHT shine from the ointment but WILL NOT be heavily layered with it. It is VERY important that your skin stays moisturized while still being able to breathe during the healing process.
SIMPLY PUT: WASH, DAB DRY, APPLY, DAB DRY.
Continue this simple four step process for a minimum of 2 weeks, repeating it between 3 and 5 times daily. Following these aftercare instructions STRICTLY will help to ensure a quick and quality heal. DO NOT ADD TO OR TAKE AWAY FROM THIS PROCESS. While your tattoo is healing you can expect it to go through a flaky/scabby process similar to a sunburn. You must allow these scabs and flakes to come off naturally while the body heals so do not force them off, doing so WILL damage your tattoo.
Now that you know what to do, here is a list of what not to do:
If you have ANY questions during the healing process be sure to contact your artist ASAP and remember that if you NEGLECT to follow the given aftercare, ANY touch-up work needed will be done at YOUR OWN EXPENSE. With all that said: THANK YOU! We appreciate your trust, loyalty, patronage, and look forward to seeing you back in the shop as SOON as your tattoo is healed!!Do tattoos hurt?
Yes! Though some spots hurt less than others - they all do hurt. How much will my tattoo cost?
